ABOUT OUR SPECIAL WALKS - 2026

The Special Walks this year are in addition to our Regular Walks for you to participate in. These walks are a chance to visit somewhere new and some are no more challenging than our regular walks. Please note that all walkers take part at their own risk.

SPECIAL WALKS PROGRAMME - 2026

For 2026, the Special Walks Programme is divided into two. The first section, Special Walks Spring 2026, covers April, May and June. Later in the year, a second section will be published. Please see below for two versions of details, either of which you can download to read or print comprehensive information about the walks which are in addition to our Regular Walks. If you have Microsoft Publisher, view the Publisher version otherwise the pdf version is user friendly for those computer users who are unsure or do not use Microsoft Publisher. Please note, in the Publisher format there are four pages in calendar order and in the pdf there are two double pages that are ideal for printing back to back or double-sided but are not in calendar order.

Forest of Dean Community Walks is committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of circumstance and ability. We aim to adhere as closely as possible to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0, Level AA), published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make Web content more accessible for people with disabilities. Conformance with these guidelines will help make the web more user friendly to everyone. Whilst Forest of Dean Community Walks strive to adhere to the guidelines and standards for accessibility, it is not always possible to do so in all areas of the website and we are currently working to achieve this. Be aware that due to the dynamic nature of the website, minor issues may occasionally occur as it is updated regularly. We are continually seeking out solutions that will bring all areas of the site up to the same level of overall web accessibility.
